Fluorite, specifically a yellow fluorite cubic cluster.
Fluorite is a halide mineral composed of calcium and fluorine (CaF2). It is known for its wide range of colors, including yellow, green, blue, purple, and more, and often exhibits multiple colors within a single specimen. Fluorite commonly forms in cubic, octahedral, or dodecahedral crystals, as well as in massive or granular forms. Its name is derived from the Latin word "fluere," meaning "to flow," due to its historical use as a flux in iron smelting. The phenomenon of fluorescence was also named after fluorite, as it was the first mineral observed to exhibit this property. This piece is hard to capture on camera with the UV but it turns a beautiful purple.
