Cut and polished by myself, this beautiful pair has it all! Filled with UV reactive calcite geode and pockets of pyrite! Ammonites are an extinct group of marine mollusks that lived from the Devonian period until the end of the Cretaceous period.
They belong to the class Cephalopoda, which also includes modern-day octopuses and squids.
The fossils are characterized by their coiled, chambered shells, which were used for buoyancy.
These specimens may be a species of Mortoniceras.
