It's often found in clusters and can be associated with other minerals like stilbite, zeolite, calcite, and quartz. This mineral is characterized by its distinct crystal shapes, including cubic, tabular, or pyramidal forms, and exhibits a pearly to glassy luster. Apophyllite is known for its high water content and can sometimes have a pearlescent sheen. It forms in cavities of basalt and other igneous rocks, often alongside zeolites.
