Quartz Crystal Druse:
The sparkly, crystalline growth covering the surface is druzy quartz, which consists of tiny quartz crystals that have formed on the surface of another mineral.
Lace Agate:
The quartz druse grew over a layer of lace agate, which is a banded variety of chalcedony (a microcrystalline form of quartz). The rounded, somewhat botryoidal or finger-like appearance is attributed to the initial formation of the rock, potentially involving fossilized algae that were later covered by agate layers and then quartz crystals.
